Join us for an amazing evening of energetic, social dancing with fantastic Ceilidh band, Da Hootin’ Whoopin’ Dobunni!
Dobunni are a recently formed band playing traditional folk dance tunes from around the British Isles and a few pieces from other shores too. There will be a mixture of circle dances, partner dances, and set dances; all the steps are easily learnt so no prior experience is necessary! It’s super if you can bring a dancing partner, but don’t worry if you come in a group of friends or alone as Magnus will help to pair people up who’d like to try the dances. There is no formal entry fee, instead we’ll be collecting donations in support of Myeloma UK on the night.

Malena Zavala (with special guest Benjamín Walker ) + Arborist
6pm Kitchen & Bar open
Live music from 7.30pm
Malena Zavala: Malena is an Argentinian born artist, producer and multimedia artist. At the age of three, Zavala moved to the UK and maintained her connection to the Latin world through music. Mixing both cultures, her dreamy & hypnotic songs are imbued with a rich sense of her own heritage, when she sings, time seems to stand still. Her haunting voice is hypnotic, her sensual songs like spells laced with the electric guitar that sweep you out of the everyday and off to some far place. Her albums 'Aliso' (2018) and ‘La Yarará’ (2020) saw her touring around Europe and the UK, and most recently the 'Pasos De La Luna EP' has brought her songs to Latin America, playing shows in Chile and Mexico. This summer she returns to spread her songs in a series of intimate shows across the European continent.
Arborist: Taking their material from traditional folk music, Stroud based Arborist furnish texts with noise-led ambient electronics and tape loops. Their employment of shifting harmonies and expansive drones leaves a haunting impression.
This will be an intimate gig in our Sanctuary space so numbers are limited. Please secure a ticket to ensure a place at this special event.

Chloe Little says ”Grassroots organisations that serve the community are more important than ever, and new models of social enterprise that nurture the health, community and spiritual wellbeing of the most marginalised must be preserved at all costs. The Long Table is the beating heart of our local community in Stroud, they run a radical social project with a pay what you can system that serves around 40,000 hot meals a year. It’s about dignity, equality, and everyone helping their neighbours in need. The Shut Up & Listen EP grew out of our need to preserve this sacred space and support our unique local community, which is the closest thing we have to a new earth. We have put together a limited edition cassette tape and all proceeds will go to The Long Table.”
